Now let us focus on the specific benefits to users of XP, Windows 7 and 8.1
Upgrade Benefits to XP Users
There are 3 areas of benefits
The features given below are NOT available in Windows XP.
Virtual Desktop: – You can create multiple Virtual desktops which allows you to move easily across desktops allowing you to organize and quickly access groups of Window
Snap Assist: will assist you to snap up to 4 windows on a single Screen.
Search: A better search engine to Search your PC and the web from the taskbar to find help, apps, files, settings. Searching for files is integrated with Cortana that provides a system wide search and web search
Continuum: Windows 10 has the ability to “sense” screen size and input types (touch, keyboard, mouse, etc.) and adjust accordingly
Edge: A Super-fast and feature rich browser. It is fastest browser available. And you can make annotations directly on a web page and share the same.
File Explorer: with new features like Quick Access, Frequent Folders, and Recent Files all of which allow you to do more in less time.
Let’s talk how Windows 10 is far more secure than XP.
First and foremost, XP is unsupported. So, you do not get any Security Updates thus exposing your System to Security Threats especially if it is part of a Network or is connected to Internet. We see no reason why you should continue to use XP. It’s dangerous for your Data. Do you value your Data? Then dump the XP. Period!
Windows Defender is an application which helps protect your computer against pop-ups, slow performance and security threats that are caused by spyware and other malware, by detecting and removing these threats from your computer with Credential Guard, Windows 10 protects corporate identities by containing them in the hardware-based secure execution environment with Device Guard and Secure Boot, Windows 10 enables companies to help block attacks by only allowing devices to run trusted software
Authentication: In addition to the password authentication, Windows 10 also supports Biometric, Picture Password and Microsoft Hello. Windows Hello is a more personal way to sign in to your Windows 10 devices with just a look or a touch. You’ll get enterprise-grade security without having to type in a password. Most PCs with fingerprint readers are ready to use Windows Hello now, and more devices that can recognize your face and iris are coming soon.
Azure AD join: The first question customers ask about Azure AD join is “How is this different from domain join?” Domain join gets you the best on-premises experiences on devices capable of domain joining, while Azure AD join is optimized for users that primarily access cloud resources. Azure AD Join is also great if you want to manage devices from the cloud with a Mobile Device Management instead of with Group Policy and On Premise Mobile Device Management Solution For details Click Here.
But Windows 10 takes this one step further and allows you to connect your device to both your personal and your enterprise clouds, within the same login session. With Windows 10, you can add your personal account to a corporate owned device (joined to a traditional Windows domain or joined to Azure AD), or add your work account to a personal device (to which you signed in with your personal Microsoft account).
Windows Store: You will have great apps for everything on Windows Store, many of them free.
